The least expensive way to host your website is to host it on a server with may other websites. This is called "shared hosting". Most hosting providers will host your website on a server with as many as 1000 websites or more... all on the same machine. The good news is that, you pay less because your website is just one of many on the server. The bad new is, the more websites the host adds to the server, the more your website is affected. Also, if another website crashes the server, your website will go down as a result.
We limit our shared servers to no more than twenty websites. We also monitor these servers and each website's traffic. If any of the websites begin to use significantly more resources than the rest, we will recommend those websites to upgrade to semi-dedicated or fully dedicated servers.
