Search Engine Friendly Dynamic Content
One problem with content management systems is difficulty in the placement of pages through search engines. The reason for this is the use of query strings (example: index.cfm?page_id=35) to pull the proper information from the database to be displayed on the page. DynApp® avoids this problem by storing the variables within the pages themselves.
Dynamic Menu Manager
There is no need to edit templates anymore! DynApp® has a powerful menu manager system that makes managing and adding new menus to your site a snap. When you add a new menu item, the files required to display that page are automatically created, the data records are stored for editing the content, the site/application menu automatically shows the new menu item, AND all bread crumb trails on your site will show your new menu when required. All without a single minute of code editing!
Plain English Content Editor
If you can use a word processor then you already know how to use our WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor. There is no HTML knowledge required to take advantage of the power of DynApp®. This also makes DynApp® the perfect solution for large companies who want to put the content management into the hands of content developers, thus freeing up developers to concentrate on code!
Skin Manager System
One unique feature of DynApp® is its Skinning feature. All you have to do to turn your site into a DynApp® application is turn your design into a "skin". Once this is done, your site will be fully dynamic and customizable via all the powerful tools of DynApp®. With the Skin Manager, you can even build many different skins and change your entire site by simply changing the skin that it uses.
Level Based Document/Section Security
Every menu in the DynApp® system has a level of security attached to it. Each user who visits the site is given a particular access level. To allow anonymous access to your site/application you can set the default user level to 1. Users who log into the system with their user accounts (created in the DynApp® User Manager) will be granted access to other sections depending on their access level. This is a great way to setup "Registered User" areas, "Customer Information" areas, and use even as an Intranet feature to grant different users access to special areas of your site.
Workflow Engine
Prevent editing errors by assigning an approval process. With the DynApp® workflow engine, each modification to content on a page by Content Editors requires approval by the assigned Content Publisher. Upon approval, the content is then queued to be published based on the publish date provided by the Content Publisher. If the changes are not approved, the Content Editor will receive an email with the Content Publishers explanation.
Version Control / History / Rollback
Each page edit is stored into a history file that can be viewed by Content Editors and Content Publishers. Rolling changes back to previous versions can be done in one simple click.
